Combining versatility with cost-effectiveness, the Xypex Modified is a non-toxic and permanent formula that can be applied over the substrate to make it waterproof With a wide range of applicability, the Xypex Modified can be used over a variety of structures exposed to water including foundations, reservoirs, swimming pools, tunnels and subway systems, sewage and water treatment plants, and more. Apart from waterproofing, it also ensures the breathability of the concrete. To top off, it does not require any prior coating of primer and can be applied to both negative and positive sides of the concrete. It can be applied in one or two coats. The two-coat procedure chemically reinforces the surface and gives it a harder finish whereas the single-coat treatment makes the substrate waterproof. It causes a catalytic chemical reaction to produce a crystalline formation within the capillary tracts and the pores of the concrete and thereby prevents moisture or any other liquid from intruding the surface.
