About this product
GFG Series protection sheets are membranes constructed to restrict chemical and moisture migration through Kingfield's Gel-Flex polymer rubber gel waterproofing systems. GFG20X is the composite membrane of the series. For added strength, 16 mil GFG HDPE membrane is laminated to 15 mil polypropylene non-woven geo-textiles to meet the toughest performance specifications. The geotextile provides cushion, increases grip, and ensures positive contact with the Kingfield Gel-Flex systems. Mitigates transmission of radon, methane, sulfate, and other soil contaminants. Advantages: Highly durable, HDPE reinforced cross-laminated membrane: Puncture resistant, chemical resistant, Class A vapor barrier for enhanced substrate protection. Superior performance in adverse environmental soil conditions Non-woven geotextile backing: Increases tensile strength without significantly increasing weight (8lbs/inch adhesion to concrete) Seams are heat-weldable: Robust protection from the jobsite environment effectively protecting the waterproofing system prior to backfill Class A Vapor Barrier: Effective barrier against water vapor and harmful gas intrusion (i.e. radon, methane, etc.) UV stable and highly puncture resistant membrane: Enhanced seam protection with heat weldable seams. Puncture resistant to 11.48 pound dart test Application: GFG Series protection sheets restricts the transmission of chemical laden water vapor and ground water from passing through concrete slabs and Gel-Flex membranes. Properly installed GFG Series protection sheets will protect floors and walls susceptible to moisture damage from vapor migration through the concrete slab and horizontal vapor transmission. Also, GFG Series vapor barriers significantly decrease interior moisture condensation, mold, and help provide a dryer, healthier environment to your building.
