STI's fast-response intumescent technology is used in these products, allowing for highly directionalized and responsive expansion. With fast growth, burning flammable penetrants can be swiftly closed. When exposed to temperatures exceeding 250?F (121?C), the SpecSeal Wrap Strips swiftly expand (intumesce) to form a thick, exceptionally insulative char.
