SpecSeal Wrap Strips are elastomeric strips that are very flexible and designed to firestop flammable intrusions in fire-rated floorboards, floor/ceilings, and window frames Convenient 12' (3.7 m) rolls or individually sized strips make installation easier and waste less. There are four grades available to match the material for the purposes. These products make use of STI's rapid reacting intumescent technology, which provides extremely responsive and directionalized expansion. The rapid expansion enables speedy closure for flammable penetrants that are burning. When subjected to temperatures above 250? F (121? C), the SpecSeal Wrap Strip quickly expands (intumescens) to produce a thick, highly insulating char. The amount of free expansion varies depending on the grade used (See Table A). Expansion can continue until temperatures reach 1,000?F (538? C). UL Accelerating Aging - Pass Oven Aging - No Change (60?C) Color - Blue.
