Underseal Underslab Membrane is a strong, pre-concrete pour hydrophobic coating membrane/vapor barrier with an 85-mil thickness that is designed to practically eliminate water and vapor transfer through concrete slabs on grade Underseal? Underslab Membrane is used as a waterproofing membrane/vapor barrier to virtually eliminate water and vapor transmission through concrete slabs on grade. In addition to protecting floor finishes and indoor air quality, Underslab Membrane also acts as a barrier to methane gas and radon gas. Underseal Underslab Membrane protects floor surfaces and indoor air quality while also acting as a roadblock to methane and radon gas. The Underseal Underslab Membrane forms a continuous seal beneath the foundation slab. As the cement intermingles with the threads of the nonwoven geotextile, a strong mechanical link is formed between the membranes and the concrete during the pouring process. Underseal Underslab Membrane is normally laid laterally over a prepared sub-base, such as compacted dirt, mud slab, or #57 stone. It can be vertically applied with 85 mil Underseal Underslab.
