Split Shakes are naturally split on the face, providing random peaks and valleys along the exposed face of the product. They are sawn on the diagonal, producing a tapered piece of shake with a sawn back for ease of installation. This product is available in #1 grade, allowing for up to 20% flat grain in the bundle or in Premium Grade, which must be 100% edge grain.
