This STI SIL300 Silicone Firestop Sealant adheres to building substrates without the use of primers and forms a high-strength and durable seal. The sealant does not contain asbestos or PCBs. It is designed to be used in firestops systems for through-penetrations and joints. The sealant works excellently where greater water resistance is required and is UL certified. The firestop sealant allows dynamic movement in joints and has efficient auto-bonding characteristics. It is further ozone and UV resistant and has high chemical resistance, therefore, protecting the structure in polluted and corrosive atmospheres. Before applying this sealant, it must be made sure that the surface on which it will be applied is clean, dry, frost-free, and free of bind breaking contaminants. The sealant should be kept away to avoid any contact with the eyes and must be used in well-ventilated areas. Consistency: Trowelable and pourable.
