Lucas #637 Elastomeric Aluminum Roof Coating combines the advantages of modified asphalt with the UV blocking, reflective abilities of leafing aluminum pigments. Aluminum pigmented coatings can substantially reduce interior building temperature and prolong roof service life. Polymer modified asphalts also provide much greater resistance to moisture and will perform better than standard Aluminum Roof Coatings in areas of ponding water. This roof coating may be used on asphalt, metal and modified bitumen roofs. This product provides an ideal surfacing for SBS modified bitumen as the coating will form a cohesive molecular bond with the polymer modifiers in the roof membrane. When applied to metal roofs, #637 remains flexible and will accommodate building movement in lighter gauge metal better than traditional fibered aluminum coatings. This product has the highest reflectivity of any aluminum coating. Lucas #637 Elastomeric Roof Coating is formulated from specially refined asphalt, SBS polymers, aromatic and aliphatic solvents and leafing aluminum paste. Formulated to spread easily and evenly by brush, spray or roller.
