About this product
IB-4 is a self-adhesive mineral surface underlayment which is adhered directly to the roof deck. The specially formulated rubberized asphalt adhesive self-seals around roofing nails and forms a long-lasting barrier. IB-4 is backed with a protective release liner which removes easily during application. The release liner is split in the center for easy valley applications. The granular surface covers a high strength mat which is coated with a rubberized asphalt compound. Granules are applied to the top surface for an improved walking surface. An adhesive selvedge edge allows for a secure seal on overlaps.
