Metacaulk® 1000 is a water-based, flexible, highly intumescent sealant designed for use on metal, insulated, fiberglass and plastic pipes. It can also be used for top of the wall construction joints, as well as power and telephone cables. Sound Transmission Class (STC). Metacaulk 1000 is a single component, general purpose fire rated sealant and smoke seal for construction joints and through-penetrations. Metacaulk 1000 is a water based, extremely intumescent, non-sag caulking grade sealant that is easy to apply. It cures to an elastomeric seal that is suitable where dynamic movement is expected. In the event of a fire, Metacaulk 1000 will prevent the spread of flames, smoke, hot gases and water through joint openings and through penetrations. Metacaulk 1000 is protected in a wet stage as well as in a dry stage against mold growth. Features: VOC compliant Excellent freeze-thaw For interior use - paintable 3 Year shelf life
