About this product
Randomly distributed fine glass filaments bonded together with a polymeric binder and reinforced with a swirl pattern of fiberglass yarn. The edges receive additional strength through a series of parallel fiberglass yarns. It is compatible with both cold and hot (liquid) applied bitumen systems and water-based elastomeric coatings. Installs easily around vent pipes, stacks and other roof penetrations. Applications: Apply a film of the hot or cold (liquid) applied bitumen adhesive to the surface, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations Conform the fabric uniformly to the surface, avoiding over-stretching, bridging or "fishmouths" Embed Fortress UF Glass Mat into the adhesive using a brush or broom and enough pressure to force the adhesive through the mesh openings and around the fabric strands Apply a final coat of the hot or cold (liquid) applied bitumen adhesive to the surface, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, ensuring that no fabric weave is visible
