E-Las-Tek® 133 Extreme Crack & Joint Sealant is a thick, long-lasting elastomeric sealant that won't dry out or crack over time. UV resistance and low dirt pickup allows for repairs without the need for top coating. Strength and bonding power allow the product to be used as an adhesive in many applications. Use with polyester roofing fabric for even greater strength. Will not sag on vertical surfaces Use in place of plastic roof cement Ideal for filling holes, gaps, seams, joints, and cracks in a wide variety of above-grade substrates Can be used for repairing foam roofs, pitched roofs, flat roofs, and parapets Suitable for use on wood, metal, BUR, modified bitumen, SPF, as well as most PVC and Hypalon roofs Fully compatible with acrylic topcoats. Will not cause cracking and bleed-through that are common with asphalt-based repair products Fast cure time Application: Clean tools promptly with water. Sealant should be applied only in good weather, when ambient temperatures are above 55°F and under 105°F and rain or dew is not expected for 24 hours. Apply sealant with a broad knife or stiff paintbrush. Apply at a maximum wet thickness of 1/4". Material shrinks on curing, which may take 24-48 hours, or more, depending on weather conditions. Allow to fully cure before applying additional sealant, or prior to top coating. Use fabric reinforcement for flashings and lap seams. Embedding polyester fabric in the sealant should strengthen repairs to gaps or cracks exceeding 1/4-inch across. Use a three-course application by applying a layer of sealant, immediately embed fabric in sealant, and then recoat with a second layer of sealant. Allow curing.
