The Commdeck Satellite Base Mounting systems are the most innovative new products to come along since the microwave oven! Satellite dishes installed on the roof can either look unsightly or leak if installed by a sloppy technician, and may void the roof's warranty! Commdeck allows the roofer to install a waterproof mounting base on the roof deck (substrate) that accepts the satellite dish should a homeowner decide to install a dish. It allows builders to pre-wire cable in the building and a receptacle to accept the cable for potential future dish installation. We've all seen installations of satellite dishes mounted over the garage in the front of the house. It totally destroys the frontal beauty of any project! Commdeck can be mounted on the back side of the roof just below the roof ridge so the dish is out-of-sight, but can still have a southern exposure! It is mostly used in new construction, but may be used in reroof applications if the substrate is removed and rerouting of the exterior cable is desired. Commdeck is Weather-tight, seamless construction and stamped in 18 gauge galvanized steel. We offer the Primer Gray so that the unit may be painted to more exactly match the roof color (16 colors) with Roofmaster's High Quality Roof Flashing Paint. Picture shows pre-installed cables, and a satellite mounted. Commdeck unit does not come with cables or satellite mast.
