About this product
The Ipe Decking is extremely dense and eight times harder than California Redwood, making it one of the most durable hardwoods in use today. It has little to no knots and doesn't twist or warp. It has a class A-1 fire retardant rating and is naturally resistant to insects, rot and decay. Many are familiar with Ipe's deep brown color, but may not know that it retains its beauty for up to twenty years if left untreated. As it ages, it weathers to a silver or gray color. Staining is optional for the first 20 years.
