About this product
The RetroFit Fall Protection Anchor is made for older (and newer) homes that were constructed without a permanent fall protection anchor. The RetroFit Anchor provides an economical and efficient solution that can be installed on existing roofing without having to access the framing members. This is our most popular RS Series of Anchor. Simply install it under the ridge cap for a permanent, low profile fall arrest anchor point. The anchor is designed to be installed by removing only a portion of the ridge cap and does not require a conventional flashing system. It can be used over asphalt, wood shake, or metal roofing, and the factory installed butyl flashing strip provides a water resistant seal. The anchor is compatible with standard and vented ridge-cap systems and can be painted to match the color of your roof. The anchor is designed so that the ridge cap system covers all of the fasteners, thus protecting them and against water penetration. The anchor is made from stainless steel and has two D-rings allowing tie-off on both sides of the roof when installed over the ridge. Each anchor is supplied with stainless steel spiral shank nails and comprehensive Instruction/Specification Manual.
